The second phase of the Cherry Willingham natural playground project is now complete!
It was great to return to this Lincolnshire school to continue bringing their visions to life.
Continuing on from our previous project, this time around, we added more timber resources, exciting features, grass mounds and further playground surfacing.
After completing the indoor/outdoor area earlier on this year, it was time to get on with the rest of the outdoor space!
To start with, we included a water play stream and cobbled beach area. This is a great way to enhance social skills and other educational benefits on the playground.
Situated above the stream is a bespoke timber bridge, allowing little ones to view the grounds from a different perspective.
In other areas, we added grass mounds using real grass to generate a natural look and feel. These mounds will be perfect for boosting physical activity. Children will love running up and rolling down them with friends at break time.
To complete phase two, we designed a timber perimeter barrier for the school car parking facilities.
