The home of all things physical and adventure! Our Lady of Lincoln has had a glow up, and outdoor play has never looked so good.
Working alongside the school, together we took a large, empty space and transformed it into the natural playground design of dreams.
Removing any existing equipment and replacing it with new, this fresh place is ready for outdoor play all summer long!
Throughout this large space, we installed a variety of fixed climbing apparatus, including clamber stacks, adventure trails and even a tone-up zone. Set into either existing grass or the safety surface, wet pour; these are fantastic for building a child’s upper body strength and overall, physical development. Great for use in an outdoor P.E. lesson!
With ropes, ladders and climbing panels for different types of physical activity; the children of Our Lady of Lincoln will love to clamber, crawl and climb on these structures at play time.
Not only are trim trails and clamber stacks great for boosting physical activity, but they are also beneficial for enhancing social interaction on the playground.
The benefits of adventure trails for early years are endless, but as they provide a series of active challenges, they also help children to develop a sense of resilience when it comes to risk taking!
Aside from the physical structures that our skilled site team installed, we also incorporated a selection of sensory and sheltered equipment.
We added two raised, timber stages with pergola roofs, and also two coloured roof shelters. One of the shelters was made personalised to suit the school environment, using arched coloured windows and a bespoke sign with ‘Our Chapel’ engraved.
The coloured roof shelters are both completed with seating and polycarbonate roofs, protecting children and teachers from harmful UV rays projected from sunlight.
Adding a splash of colour to this primary school, outdoor play environment, children can utilise all four of these sheltered structures to engage in roleplay activities with friends, enhancing team work skills whilst doing so.
Both of these offer fantastic play values and are great for both learning and teaching outdoors. Not only this, but they are also perfect for use all-year round!
Finishing touches to this adventurous play space include bespoke, raised planters, and timber picnic benches, all hand-crafted within our Lincolnshire workshops.
