Turning this early years courtyard into a fun and colourful place to play, this natural playground design holds plenty of adventures for the children upon their return to school in September!

Oozing with fun from corner to corner, this Northern school have changed the way their pupils play and learn outdoors forever!

Beginning with a space in need of some new life, we have taken everything out and brightened up the space with new resources, new surfacing and lots of new playground equipment.

We cannot wait to see the children enjoying this fantastic space when the new school year begins.

Playground Equipment

Including elements to cover all aspects of play, this new play space offers messy play, role play, sand play, storytelling and even more.

To accommodate for all types of play, we included an array of freestanding, timber play resources to match all play genres, enabling children to engage in a variety of outdoor activities. Gaining educational benefits and enhancing life skills as they play.

Some of these resources include our best-selling Coloured Teepee, Storytellers Throne, Skip and Blocks, Mud Kitchen and more. This playground has it all!

In other areas, we installed some fixed playground structures. One of those being a coloured roof shelter, adding elements of sensory play to the grounds.

We also installed a clamber stack, which is great for enhancing physical ability whilst the children climb and play.

Adding a pop of colour!

To give the playground a pop of colour, we laid a selection of different paving throughout the playground, adding lots of texture and definition. Surfacing laid includes artificial grass, new pour, wet pour, block paving and certified tree bark. Not forgetting to mention the path of interest installed too!

To complete the space, we added a barked area with sleeper edging, encouraging little ones to engage in messy play activities. Perfect for developing fine motor skills at playtime.
