Cherry Willingham is now the home of an exciting sensory and role play garden, designed to enhance early years, outdoor education.

With a show stopping, coloured shelter taking central stage of the playground, children will love to play and learn in this space. The Newby team took this existing shelter, and added colourful lexan windows, to generate an enclosed indoor/outdoor location for learning.

Promoting exploration and imagination, this vibrant structure adds sensory values to the grounds as natural sunlight shines through, developing colourful reflections inside and out of the shelter.

This vibrant environment will definitely get kids engaged at play time!

Natural, Sensory, Role Play..

Adding a splash of colour to the playground, this shelter holds a variety of timber play resources inside, offering multiple educational benefits to the little ones.

Also featured inside the enclosed space is a bespoke stage, with a chalkboard back drop and pergola roof, designed specifically to fit the desired space.

This educational design produces the perfect spot for the children to engage in role play activities!

As well as this, they can investigate new concepts and learn to solve problems as they practice mark making skills on the giant chalkboard, situated at the back of the stage.

Not only is this stage beneficial for the children, but it also enables the teachers of Cherry Willingham to take lesson time outdoors all year round.

Another new element to the space is a roadway track, generated using resin bound surfacing and an artificial grass island in the middle. Situated by the track is a trike & buggy store, allowing children to wheel their bikes and trikes easily into the store after a race!
