New surfacing, new climbing structures, a shelter and new timber resources; lots of new adventures awaits the children of St Josephs & St Teresas!
We started completely fresh and replaced all existing surfacing with a variety of safety surfaces to break up the playground into different sections.
These surfaces include artificial grass, new pour, and block paving. As well as having safety benefits, these groundworks also offer colour and different textures for the space.
To enhance physical development for the primary school children, during the design process, it was decided to include a clamber stack.
Clamber stacks are enjoyable for children of all ages to engage in physical activity, as well as boost social interaction on the playground. It will also make a great addition to P.E. lessons!
To encourage children to explore their environment and develop their social, cognitive, and physical skills, we installed a large, bespoke sandpit. Sand play is fantastic for all aspects of early years development.
In other areas, we added a selection of best-selling timber play resources, including the Weights and Scales Table, H Shaped Water Wall, Messy Corner Kitchen and more.
The children now have plenty of products to enable further learning through play at break times.
We also relocated some existing musical equipment to suit the style of the new, natural playground design.
