When designing this partial renovation, the teachers of Barley Fields suggested including a variety of resources so children could enjoy all different kinds of play, so we did just that!
With the products we included, the pupils can now enjoy imaginative play, role-play, natural & sensory play, water play and more!
Something every school need – outdoor, storytelling areas offer children the opportunity to sit in a quiet space away from the playground chaos.
Designed to capture a child’s imagination and spark creativity, the area is inclusive of our Storytellers Chair, which will withstand the elements for all-year-round use.
Complete with a coloured teepee and timber stools, the reading spot provides enough seating options to accommodate multiple children.
The ideal location for little ones to improve and develop their communication and language skills.
Great for role-play and outdoor teaching - the polycarbonate Lexan roof makes the shelter ideal for use whatever the weather.
Thanks to the coloured Lexan, these shelters offer a point of difference to any play area, as well as adding sensory value.
Children can watch as the sun shines through and creates beautiful colour reflections on the pavement!
Adding planters to outdoor play areas is always a great way to get children involved in nature play.
Planters can really boost a sense of community in schools as kids love to be outdoors surrounded by nature.
By having a planter, vegetable patch or growing bed in your school playground, it will boost social engagement and team building relationships with friends.
The teachers of Barley Fields wanted to ensure that their newly part-renovated play area included plenty of storage. Newby Leisure definitely provided there!
We added a selection of both double and three tier units to make sure there was enough. These units are simple, yet attractive and look fantastic is any outdoor area.
They are deep enough to store sports and play products, gardening items and other small, everyday resources you might use.
As well as the above, they also come with PVC covers, meaning everything inside the units will stay dry and secure.
When designing this scheme, the teachers wanted to achieve appropriate safeguarding.
Newby Leisure understand that safeguarding takes priority at any school, so we designed fencing that was both secure and attractive, to surround the playground.
