Learning through play is the way forward for Kids Planet, Davenport!
Newby Leisure have recently had the pleasure of working alongside Kids Planet to completely re-design an outdoor area consisting of nothing but natural features.
Children can participate in physical play, imaginative play and role-play activities.

Designed with the intention of role-play encouragement in mind; our natural, low deck stages are perfect for outdoor performances!
Including stages to an outdoor playground is a great way to push learning through play whilst children participate in outdoor teaching and learning.
To complete the area, three timber benches were incorporated, suppling enough seating for children to sit and watch as their friends put on a show!
Collaborative play can be enhanced amongst young children when they play together, as they begin to develop stronger language and communication skills as they play within a group.
Stages do not have to be used solely for role-play; they can also be utilized as a quiet learning environment. Early years can sit and learn in a calm and controlled spot without having to be indoors. It’s great for the summer months – think of the cool breeze and Vitamin D benefits!
There is no better way to enhance physical ability than to climb a reclaimed clamber tree; it’s nature and play!
Children love to climb, crawl and clamber whilst building upper body strength and physical development. This natural climbing resource is the future of climbing play!
Not forgetting to mention the impact climbing has on a child’s well-being, confidence, and self-esteem. Imagine reaching the highest point of the tree and feeling that sense of achievement. It’s a great confidence booster for any child!
Artificial grass is a fantastic safety surfacing option for any nursery or school setting.
It is hard-wearing and durable, making it great for areas that are intensively used, thanks to its long-lasting quality. As well as this, it is an attractive and real looking surface option, creating a natural environment for the kids.
The children of Kids Planet can play for hours on this surface without the hassle of mud and mess as it is also easy to maintain and easy to wipe and clean.
