A small but detailed playground featured in a southern nursery garden, designed to aid early years, outdoor education.
This area is inclusive of natural timber resources to offer messy play, physical play and water play opportunities.
Nature is the sole focus of this space, with bark installed to generate a natural effect, as well as planters dotted around to allow children to plant and pot.
To section of this beautiful new space from the rest of the playground, it was decided to use wooden sleepers, to create an edge to the barked area.
This space includes a messy corner mud kitchen, perfect for the little ones to engage in messy, muddy role play activities.
A natural, planter tunnel is also featured in the centre of this section, allowing children to increase their physical ability as they crawl and clamber through.
The tunnel leads to the other end of the barked area, where you will find timber post matrix; great to get the children’s imagination flowing and perfect for den making!
A water play stream has been incorporated into this natural learning environment, a Newby Leisure favourite!
Designed with longevity in mind, the stream is a fantastic feature for encouraging more outdoor, learning through play.
With a cobble beach and sandpit situated at the end of the stream, children will develop their fine and gross motor skills as they use the pump to allow water to flow down the stream.
Made up from a selection of safety surfacing options, such as new pour and block paving; these hard-wearing options are brilliant for areas that are intensively used.
