Inclusive of a fire pit and an outdoor classroom, this natural playground design is an exciting place for early years children to play and learn.
A fantastic, educational benefit to this forest school is the firepit. As well as offering excitement, it also gives the children an opportunity to learn through play.
Campfires are great for exposure to different risks, promoting safety awareness and boosting confidence.
They’re also useful for experiencing different sensory values, due to the warmth, light and noise the fire generates.
Not forgetting to mention that gathering around a fire is a brilliant social activity, encouraging teamwork on the playground.
This area is complete with block paving and multiple sleeper benches, suitable to accommodate at least 18 children.
As well as a firepit, the forest school also contains a selection of planters, set into rubber mulch surfacing, generating a natural look and feel to the grounds.
This potting station is a great way to boost the community and get the children to interact with one another as they pot and plant.
Sectioned off with a bespoke timber fence, behind the planters is a hexagonal outdoor classroom.
Fit with heavy-duty PVC covers, this is the perfect place for teachers to teach and for children to learn and play outdoors, all year round.
