The children of Rauceby have enough resources to occupy them for hours on end at play time thanks to this fantastic new playground design!
Working alongside the wonderful teachers at Rauceby, the Newby Leisure team have worked their magic, and created a natural play environment to enhance early years education.
Inclusive of multiple timber play resources, children can play with friends until their hearts content.
Creative, imaginative role play will be the heart of this primary, playground setting. Their brand-new low-deck stage with pergola roof and mounted chalkboard is the ideal feature to let their imaginations run wild!
Children can use this stage to engage in exciting roleplay activities and perform with friends.
Not only that, but they can work on their mark making skills too, using the chalkboard mounted to the back of the stage. The perfect set-up for outdoor learning, the teachers at Rauceby will love it!
Encouraging collaborative play amongst young children, they will begin to develop their communication and language skills as they work together in groups using their new outdoor stage at play time.
When designing this natural play area, the teachers of Rauceby wanted to separate each zone using different surfacing. For the storytelling area, it was decided to keep natural grass.
Adding storytelling resources to a natural area is a great way to boost a child’s imagination and spark creativity.
The area is inclusive of Newby Leisure’s Storyteller’s Throne and Timber Toddler Stools, meaning there is enough space for multiple children to enjoy story time!
Teachers will love taking literacy outdoors with this new, robust reading area.
Surrounding the space is a bespoke timer fence, ensuring the safety of children whilst in the playground.
Our fencing is not only safe but has also provided an attractive natural backstop to the Rauceby playground.
When it comes to storage, Newby Leisure understand that you can never quite have enough of it, especially outdoors.
Having storage units in different zones of the playground will encourage the children to keep each area tidy and organised.
All play equipment from each zone, can be allocated to its closest storage unit.
The units incorporated into this playground design include heavy duty PVC covers, meaning that all equipment inside will keep safe and dry during all weather conditions.
Including in this scheme is a wide variety of Newby Leisure’s timber play resources, enough to keep every child entertained at play time.
Ranging from messy play, water play, construction play and role play, there is every opportunity in this natural play environment.
With these resources being freestanding, teachers can safely move them around the playground if they so wish.
A digging pit is also featured in this playground, enabling the children to improve their gross and fine motor skills as they learn through play.
