As we head towards the end of 2023, we have been super busy undergoing multiple playground projects. Including Whetley Academy, in Bradford.

It has been a pleasure to work alongside yet another school that is part of the Delta trust.

Beginning with paving, line markings and free-standing resources, this large space held plenty of opportunities to completely redesign the playground.

We incorporated multiple surfacing options to break up the area, and also included lots of different elements of play. There are plenty of new features to keep the children entertained as they learn through play in their new, outdoor play environment.

Including all elements of play!

For physical play, we generated a barked area with a fallen clamber tree, allowing children to clamber, climb and crawl as they build their physical ability at play time.

Alongside this, we added a bespoke timber bridge, inclusive of a hexagonal, crawl through tunnel underneath. An area for adventures!

To bring the playground to life a little more, we incorporated splashes of colour by including x2 coloured teepees and a coloured roof shelter, adding sensory values to the area. These make great reading spots!

In other sections, we added messy play resources such as a mud kitchen and weights and scales tables, as well as bespoke planters and construction play products.

Not forgetting to mention the water play stream, embedded with block paving. A fantastic feature to enhance fine and gross motor skills at play time.

There isn’t much that this playground doesn’t have!
